Hoy mismo me llega una actualización de Mscore y TiMidity, y creía que al fin podría abrir y utilizar ambos programas, pero no ha sido así, y por lo tanto sigo a ciegas de como poder hacerlo.
Intento abrir desde terminal y me suelta esto:
pino@slitaz:~$ MuseScore
/bin/sh: MuseScore: not found
pino@slitaz:~$
pino@slitaz:~$ TiMidity
/bin/sh: TiMidity: not found
pino@slitaz:~$
Alguna sugerencia para ambos problemas? Gracias y saludos.

To bring up the Gui of timidity you have to create:
/usr/share/timidity/timidity.cfg...(empty file)
and if it's missing, install libao-1.1.0.tazpkg too.
now start timidity with timidity -ia
you also need some soundfonts
(take a look at your soundcard/ Driver /installation CD's)..or google
http://alsa.opensrc.org/SoundFont
If you have some edit timidity.cfg
dir "path_to_the_directory with the soundfonts"
soundfont "however they are named"

Sixofeight: Efectivamente la carpeta timidity está tal y como dices en la ruta.
No entiendo lo de comenzar timidez con "timidez-ia".
Lo de la fuente de sonido, la cual entiendo que debería estar en ese archivo vacío
reseñado (timidity.cfg), se lo que supone pues en otro ordenador la tengo, aunque no está
en la misma ruta, y ademas los archivos y carpetas son unos cuantos más.
Por cierto que la interfaz es un poco penosa, pero si va pues vale.
Espero con estos datos haberte aclarado que sigue sin abrirse el programa.

place this file /where/you/want/
(There are certainly better ones, but this works here with Slitaz4.)
now edit /usr/share/timidity/timidity.cfg
e.g.
dir /home/tux/Download/
soundfont 8MBGMSFX.SF2
open a terminal and type timidity -ia
now the Programm should open and you can play and convert midi-Files

Así he hecho todo lo que dices y no hay manera.
Incluso con otras fuentes a mayores y nada.
Vuelve a salir en terminal lo que va a continuación, con lo cual interpreto que es un
ordenador tan viejo y limitado que no vale la pena. Ya he quitado el programa y me
olvido de él completamente.

I don't know why it is not working for you.I took a pure Slitaz4 and did the
Installation again

Creo sinceramente que no vale la pena, ya que puedo hacerlo
de otra forma, utilizando bastante el pendriwe.
