Just tried it, apologies if that has already been reported (i'd think it probably has, so just in case)

- booting from usb specifiying home= blkid does not work; in fact after booting i cannot see my flash drive anymore at all

- the cursor disappears on tabs of Chrome (i have seen that happening in other areas of midori or qtweb

Beside this is looks very promising, compared to the issues i have had wih 4.0 on my laptop.

Also I noticed the ethernet is 2x as fast as with 4.0. Have not tried wifi yet as it needs a non-included driver.

As a Chrome user, I dont have any problems with this.

Can't install flash either and none of the browsers seem to have HTML5 enabled (or at least no codec support so that is a bit probalematic)

when I run the script to get flash it just trys to connect to the adobe servers over and over and never gets a download.

Concerning ethernet, I don't share the same experience than you. I run Rolling (full install) on the same computer that I run SliTaz 4 (P4 1.6, 256 MB and a swap).

With Rolling, in GMail, regularly the processor is 100% occupied and the system hangs for near 1 minute or more (that's really long) before to give me back the hand.

With SliTaz 4.0, always in GMail, when CPU is 100% occupied (not so often) I can continue to write mails.

Same for videos: those that are difficult to view on SliTaz 4.0 are unable to view with Rolling.

I'm affraid the next SliTaz won't like old computers very much; SliTaz 4.0 still has a long live on my computers.

midori? Sure, it has abnormally high CPU usage.

Maybe cgroups or ulatencyd.. Or some kernel stuff like (u)ksm and zram can help.

But we dont have the latest kernel here in slitaz.

No, QtWeb.

Midori is too slow on this computer. But if QtWeb is really faster it is aslo much buged...
