How to configure Time Zone in Rolling ?

Rolling freshly upgraded (12/04/2014)

[*]Applications > Preferences > Time Zone Configuration

I must confess I don't know what I have to do...

[*]In a terminal [c]# tazbox tz [/c]

Same and when I leave the tazbox:

[c]sed: /usr/share/zoneinfo/zone.tab: No such file or directory[/c]

[*]Tried [c]# tazbox setup [/c]in a terminal

[c]Setting system locale to: init                         [ Done ]
cannot open file init[/c]

[*]Just the clock changed after logout/login

Locale and Keymap are not taken in account.

[*]Then [c]bash: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL: cannot change locale (init)

[/c]each time I open a terminal (after logout/login)

and [c]Loading console keymap: initsyntax error, unexpected ERROR

  Done [/c]at boot.

[*]Error messages, at terminal opening and at boot, disappear after [c]# tazlocale[/c] and logout/login.

(change with [c]# tazlocale [/c]or [c]# tazbox locale [/c]is taken in account but not change with [c]tazkeymap [/c]or [c]# tazbox keymap [/c]even after boot)

Why [c]# tazbox setup [/c]does not remember (or get) the current configuration?

And, by the hell, why the list for TimeZone in [c]# tazbox setup [/c]is so looooooooooooooooooooong?

Europe/Paris is the penultimate position!

Re: How to configure Time Zone in Rolling ?

Hi Ceel

I think you need to install the glibc-locale package also:

# tazpkg get-install glibc-locale

Re: How to configure Time Zone in Rolling ?

Yes Paul. That's it! Thanks.

But using Applications > Preferences > Time Zone configuration is really not intuitive. And viewing the clock, I wonder on which continent SliTaz locates Paris ;-)

After having get-install glibc-locale, the list in [c]tazbox setup [/c] is not looooooooooooooooooooong but looooooooooooooooooooo... oooooooooooooooooooong.

The command is absolutely unusable.

I've finally removed glibc-extra-samba and glibc-locale. That's still better like this; at least, I know how to have the right clock.
