"failure to execute login command"

i had success in booting slitaz 3.0 xvesa in frugal mode. now i want to do the same with slitaz 3.0 xorg on new hardware. i am getting the error "failure to execute login command". is there an updated fix for this? shoud i just wait for version 4.0?

need to read and digest this guide

running slitaz3.0-xvesa, frugal install under grub4dos, using your menu.lst, with laptop having 512M RAM, no optical drive

yes, i am running xvesa version right now, but i want to setup slitaz xorg on my new pc. i followed that faq to the letter but no success. i have no "shopt" command, so i replaced with the suggested "chown -R ..." command but still fail.

you do know that xvesa will be dropped in the next version of slitaz? this is what i'm preparing for.

unaware xvesa will be dropped ... new challenges ... never resolved the old ones

interesting, when folks have trouble booting SliTaz, boot xvesa tends to be the resolution

what will it be if xvesa goes away? ...

It's an easy solution, but not really an ideal one because xvesa only supports 4:3 resolutions so wide-screen resolutions will refuse to work with it.
