Compiling 32bit kernel on a 64bit machine

Hi,

I'd like to do what the title says. But make menuconfig offers only 64-bit processor families...

Here's how I proceed:

- downloaded Cooking iso on the "host" (the 64-bit machine where I'll compile, which runs Opensuse);

- extracted rootfs to some place;

- chroot'ed to there;

- did what's listed in http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:kernel

try 'setarch i386 make menuconfig'

Thanks, it works! (The exact syntax is 'setarch linux32 make menuconfig'.)
