Hi all Pi users,

I posted a new blog post about new features in SliTaz Raspberry Pi distro and published an almost complet book about using SliTaz with your Pi. Huge thanks to Paul for fixing all my typos!

Does anyone knows a link where I can see a PI screenshot on an old tv?  The one with rca conector.

I'm curious. This could  be an option for third world countries.

Considering that Linux supports it, and it's just a simple connector, I would suspect it only be a matter of plugging in it and there you have it. If you look up rPI rca on youtube, you just might find something useful.

I've also successfully connected one to a TV. However, the image quality isn't great. There is significant distortion and bending, especially near the corners. So its a bit of a strain on the eyes to browse the web, say (even on a large TV). But its great for playing videos with omxplayer though!

@pankso, its really cool to see all the information gathered up somewhere. Thanks to it, I saved a lot of time, instead of bumbling around.

But I noticed that the image linked from the RPi home (http://arm.slitaz.org/rpi/) contains an old verson of [c]spk[/c] which prevents updates. I've tried both the base and desktop version. Its the "continue download" bug in [c]libspk.sh[/c]. And after fixing that, updating removed the entire /usr/ directory (I only tried that one once). Even if its less stable, maybe its worthwhile to put up the latest [c]sat-rpi gen[/c] build instead, at least for base (and also, maybe have a frozen version of the repository for people to try).

I did learn something pretty interesting about boot time in all this (more on that in a different thread).

There are also some typos and (I think?) out of date information in parts of the PiBook. I don't know if there's anything I can gather up everything.
