Hi,
After booting in live cd mode
1) I started Goodhearted & deleted an ext4 partition which used to hold the root filesystem of a different linux distro.
2) Created a new ext3 partition for Slitaz.
3)started the System Tools >> Slitaz Installer.
5)I opened terminal & used the mount command to see the mounted filesystems/partitions.
The ext3 partition was mounted as hdc1.
6) Therefore I used /dev/hdc1 as installation target.
7) I didn't choose any separate home directory.
8) The installation process completed without any errors including Grub.
But the problem is when I rebooted and selected the hdd as the first boot device the the computer stalls at Verifying DMI Pool Data. It says like this forever.
So I booted in live cd mode again to see if it the / partition has the received the installation files. I found that the files are all there which means the installation process copied the files to the correct partition.
Then what do you guys think went wrong?
My Specs:
Celeron 2.13
Ram : 384 mb
Hdd: 40 Gb

I wonder why that partition was recognized as hdc1 instead of hda1.

Which version of SliTaz are you using? It might be that you need an extra option at boot to make it work. Part of me doubts that it may be grub related, because you're getting so far into the boot process.
