FreeRDP in fullscreen

Hi,

I'm trying to build a Thin Client OS (X + RDP Client only) and I'm amazed how easy is to cook Slitaz.

I found, however, a limitation when trying to use FreeRDP in fullscreen.

I can use it windowed perfecly, but when I switch to fullscreen mode (/f command line switch) no screen appears.

Did anyone have this problem?

Same problem.

Fullscreen not working here.

I see a brief flash but no window.

Terminal messages indicate I'm connected,no other errors.

Regular window is OK.

Slitaz-5.0-rc2 FreeRDP version 1.1.0-beta1

Full screen works:

Slitaz-4.0 FreeRDP version 0.8.2

Hi,

I'm using freerdp + xinerama + xorg 7.7 on Thinstation, I think the problem might be related to Xorg 7.4 on Slitaz

Is it possible to upgrade Xorg on Slitaz to 7.7 as well?

First of all 1.12 xserver equals xorg 7.7 in slitaz 5.

1.13+ have no compatibility with old hardware.

7.4 is for slitaz4 only. But as described above, it works.

Are you tried at least to configure video hardware driver?

or just tazx as root

then you will need to restart X, of course

Also slitaz cdoes not contains ~/.xsession-error or same log, so try to run program from terminal and maybe you can find error details in output

to developers: I think it's useful to create [c]subox terminal-e tazx[/c] .desktop file. In old slitaz version it was auto-running during boot, but now it's not so obvious to find it.

The only version that works is FreeRDP 0.8.2, that is very old and incompatible with TS 2008+

FreRDP 1.x does not work on any version of Slitaz in fullscreen

I'm unable to use tazx, the command fails with the following error:

/usr/bin/tazx: line 262: gen_xsession: not found.

The most annoying is that freerdp does not give any error and IS RUNNING, but probably with a screen 1x1. When it start the screen blinks and if you hit ESC it closes gracefully as it do in normal screen.

I had this issue in Thinstation if I compile without Xinerama, it give me the same behaviour. But on Slitaz with or without Xinerama I cant get a working screen

I'm happy to inform that I sucessfully cooked a FreeRDP version that works in fullscren for Slitaz 5.0 (it should work in 4.0 as well).

It's really a bug in FreeRDP introduced in Apr 2013 and the workaround I applied is mentioned here: https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/1361

I've made a receipt with FreeRDP 1.2.0-beta1 + this patch -xinerama -cups -ffmpeg
