I'm using the latest cooking and updating caused some breakage with packages. I have two questions:
1. How do I sync the mirrors to point to the proper fixed repo?
and,
2. If I were to go to a rolling release, what's the difference between using the slitaz-core.iso or the slitaz-4in1.iso being offered?

The rolling release is built with the cooking repository (almost) after every update.
1. do 'tazpkg recharge'
2. slitaz-core-4in1.iso holds 4 flavors: slitaz-base.iso, slitaz-justX.iso, slitaz-core-basic.iso and slitaz-core.iso. It automagically launch the best flavor matching your RAM size (likely slitaz-core.iso). This iso should never hang during the rootfs decompression at boot time.
You can force the flavor at boot time too, example :
boot: base

Thankx for the prompt explanation Bellard. As it stands now I have my cooking updated and working well, except that I can't log in to Tazpanel using the default "root" pwds. But that's okay I can use the terminal to get what I need.
Regards,
Robert
