found some time to test linphone on rolling - it is ok, but does not find soundcard
@Pascal - can you try something in the receipt
./configure --enable-alsa and maybe also --enable-ssl --enable-zrtp for encrypted phonecalls
and I think it needs alsa-lib-dev in the build depends

tested also pulseaudio with skype - skype starts but then crashes with following error

Sorry, not tested yet.
Should we rebuild Qt with PulseAudio? Now it's disabled in the configuration. And Skype is a Qt based app, of course.
And I think we strongly need “pavucontrol” package (it's sound mixer). About month ago solved a problem with input source on my wife's Lubuntu for Skype — by default it chooses built-in soundcard's microphone (that is absent), but I needed microphone from USB web-cam. That time pavucontrol helps me

Linphone works nice with the new browserinterface and firefox on SliTaz

so its the best skype alternativ - even when the sip ports are closed (all wlan hotspots I have tested the last days had no problem), you can use the browser interface
