Hi all,
For me tazweb is very stuning on my old computer, and would realy use it as first glance.
However would you know if it's possible to allow pop-ups?
Is there any possibility of configuration?
On my old computer, firefox works honestly, and tazweb is very impressive (I guess it is certainly one big motivation to choose Slitaz, for anybody who want to resurect an old computer). As traditionaly, Midori is light but forever poor, whatever the power of the computer would be, midori is slow. For me on good computers midori is poor so I wonder if anybody get it ok on old computers, on mine (Pentium III 512Mo) at least it performs far less than firefox. I think, the weakness of Midori is when it tries to read javascripts. Even google main page is long to load.

I definitively need Java plugins as you should see in my other topics. That's a thing that tazweb seems to do (I cannot test fully because it does not allow popup ... Unfortunately).

I have a PC with the same configurations of yours (512MB RAM, Celeron processor) and Midori works fine and fast. In my case, Firefox is a bit slower than Midori.
Try using Midori at the LiveCD and check if it become slow; if yes, maybe you should use other browser with Java support.

You are correct Midori become faster when running on live session.

Midori runs fantastic on my netbook, but unfortunately crashes a lot, where as Firefox performs more stable and reasonably fast and consistent. Your best bet would probably be to just use Firefox, unless you're willing to fiddle with things, but in that case there's a whole slew of browsers that perform MUCH better but are less likely to be easy to use.
However, for the JavaScript issue, and Java support, you're probably gonna be out of luck pretty quickly.

Try chromium/srware iron, if you need something tabbed and powerfull. It works good even on old hardware. Midori is poor choice...
