No? I just came on one day and was a moderator. Nobody warned me or told me I was one.

So rather be helpful (or atleast give good advice with a bit of sarcasm) and be active on the forums. One of the Administrators will notice and make you a Moderator. I doubt they'll give it to you for asking...
