Can't repack, md5sum error.
Any ideas what's going on? Or am I doing something that isn't supported?

Anyone know what's going on here? I tried this on three machines running Slitaz, same results.

I had a similar problem. The culprit was not slitaz - the RAM of 1 GB respectively the space of 900 MB about was not sufficient for this action. I followed a tip of kultex and decided not to install LibreOffice, but to use a Portable Linux App which works like a charme - if jre is installed!

My laptop has 2 GB RAM and about 20GB free disk space on the root volume where I'm running the repack command. So what else could be the problem?

Because it's not an original package but a get-* package? They're not created normally like others. Also repack doesn't work if any of the files have changed or been removed since the package was installed. For example if you stripped out the locales except en_US, it won't repack.

I thought that a get-package package wouldn't repack too, but elsewhere in the forum said you could repack openoffice. It is possible I stripped out the locales, will do a fresh install and try again.

I reinstalled LibreOffice, then did a repack right away and it worked.

Then there was probably a change to the old install somehow. I once tried repacking a game client after I removed it's docs. It got the same error.

Yes, I think I stripped out the locales as you mentioned earlier. That's probably what's causing the problem (I have a habit of doing what I do on one machine to all others if I think I found something cool
).

Hehe, I use Bleachbit for that myself. I even made a package of it @ http://www.trixarian.net/downloads/bleachbit-0.9.1.tazpkg
