Issue with pcmanfm, can't select folders or files

As the subject says, it works the first few clicks, or keystrokes. Then stops working. i.e. you can see the cursor moving over the folders, but the folders/files can't be selected. Cannot open the files/folders by [ENTER] key, or right click, Open, or double-click. Closing the window and starting another one, fixes it for a clicks, then same thing all over again. No issues as root.

Wonder if I a recent upgrade caused this, don't remember encountering this problem before.

Ok turns out, this is a confirmed bug and has been reported awhile ago:

thanks @mojo. It wasn't exactly a show stopper, but quite irritating really. This will definitely make life a tad easier.
