Is this a "desktop resolution" problem?

"How to change the desktop resolution"

http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:xorg-xvesa   ... seems to be a dead link.

I just booted up the 3.0 iso on a ten year old Toshiba laptop.  The laptop's native resolution is 800 x 600.  The bottom and right hand sides of the Slitaz desktop is lost beyond the margins.

From what I've read, the main concern with "desktop resolution" in Slitaz is that 3.0 boots up at 800 x 600 and others are having difficulty adjusting to greater resolutions.  So why am I having this problem?

I right clicked and hunted around the menus as much as possible and did not find options for any adjustment.  First thing I'd like to investigate is to see whether i can set up a network connection, but my "network status monitor" is hidden beyond the right bottom corner of my screen.

Try http://doc.slitaz.org/doku.php/en:guides:xorg-xvesa instead.

You can also set the resolution at the boot baby, boot screen using either the vga= or screen= parameters. Check out http://doc.slitaz.org/doku.php/en:handbook:livecd for help on how to use them.

Otherwise, you can follow the guide here: http://forum.slitaz.org/topic/screen-resolution (just ignore me being mean and just go to the step by step guide tongue).

Using either of these methods should fix the problem for you.
