Time setting not retained

My laptop does not seem to retain time settings. My TZ is set to America/New_York. At 10 AM EST, when I boot up, the clock shows 3pm. So I set the correct time using

$date --set 10:00

Then if I reboot it goes back to 10+5, i.e. 3:00 pm. What could be the issue? I have glibc-locale installed.

Re: Time setting not retained

And I assume [c]cat /etc/TZ[/c] brings up [c]America/New_York[/c], right?

Which version of SliTaz are you running?

Re: Time setting not retained

Ah yes. I had the same issue with Cooking. I'm not sure what causes this, but it's damn annoying. It keeps resetting the time to UTC/GMT time. I'm not sure how to fix this though...

Re: Time setting not retained

Ok, that's fine. Just so long as it's nothing that I am doing. For now, I'll just write a script and put it into autostart.sh to set the time -5 hrs on startup. Hopefully one of these days it'll get fixed.
