Long ago it was announced that version 4.

Since there has been cooking and rolling releases and posts on this forum, we're pretty far from abandoned.

There however are issues that have stalled the release of SliTaz 4. Mostly the fact that the newest SliTaz cooking has kernel, core and several other issues to it's name. It's just not pleasant to use nor stable enough to warrent a release. Add to this the fact that life happened to pankso, we're pretty much where we are now.

That said, SliTaz 4 will only come out if it's stable with 90% of the packages working without problems. We're not there yet. Maybe soon or maybe not, but it will probably come out one way or another...

The SliTaz is a very interesting project for its beauty and mild form of acting, and I'm really happy with SliTaz, I miss a new release and I think there will be a new release of SliTaz.
