Can someone please help me , im knew to any slitaz

Can someone please help me , im knew to any slitaz programs and im using Easy Recovery Essentials and I'm trying to repair my sisters laptop as a last resort before I have to wipe it.There is a lot of back up files I have found like photos etc,but when I try to burn them to dvd it asks for a password ... I have found out it is root but I can type letter R ok but when I try to type the letters O I get a number 6 ?? I'm really puzzled.Would appreciate a little help here peeps Thanks in advance xxx

I had it also on one notebook - somehow the numeric pad is turned on, when slitaz starts.

You have to find out the key combination to turn off the numeric pad - in my case it is FN+F11

Can be also [Fn] + [NumLock]
