emachines 350 netbook ,cli only, no gui

hey guys, im a relative newbie to the linux way of life. slitaz works fine on my desktops when booted from a usb. But however, when i try the same operating system on my emachines netbook, for some reason it knows my monitor is there but says the resolution is incompatible???

any help would be greatly appreciated as i really enjoy using slitaz and would like to continue as i use my netbook on a daily basis

It shows you parameters you can use at the boot baby, boot screen. The two that might be of interest to you is vga= and screen= which can be used to fix your problem and they're used like this:

slitaz screen=1024x768x24

or

slitaz vga=790

Both should give you a 1024x768 screen resolution and you can use them together or separately. Read the doc page for more information on them.
