how to install wireless usb adapter?

Hi, I'm new in matters of linux. I have a Compaq Presario 900 laptop with 256 megas of ram, 18 gigas of hard drive and a mobile AMD Athlon XP processor 1500 +. Bringing the operating system was Windows XP Home, but I removed it completely with the application DBAN (Darik's Boot and Nuke). I was tired of the computer run so slow (yet I keep the Windows installation disks if I decide to reinstall). And I found myself looking for alternatives with Linux operating systems. I tried to install Ubuntu and it did not. Then I tried it with Puppy Linux, but I could not get it. Finally I found SliTaz and the operating system is set up perfectly (the version that is installed SliTaz GNU / Linux cooking). The thing is I do not know how to install wireless Internet. The computer gave before problems with cable Internet connection. And that´s why I´ve installed the DWL-G122 USB adapter. It's the same adapter I want to install SliTaz. I got the installation disc and the system recognizes it, but I don´t know how to configure it to run also on SliTaz. I appreciate any help you can give me.
