Fats boot Youtube Share Download Password

Hello,

i am a new User of your Slitaz and have no Ideas an never used before Linux.

The Slitza is very fine, i use it because it boots fast, but maybe it can faster?

I want to configure it a little bit better, so I need help to do this Things:

- How can i get a Browser which shows Youtube Videos and other Videos, my Soundcard is also not detected by Slitaz, how can i fix this 2 Things?

- I have made an extra Partition on my HD in Fat32, so i have read before that Linux can access to Fat32, but Slitaz can`t? What i have to do, to share this Partition between Slitaz and WIndows?

- I want to boot and go into Slitaz without Username and Password (example tux, tux) and into the other Progs too (example root, root).

Is there someone who can explain me if this is possible or not?

Hi HAckonya.

On the only question I can help you is on the Youtube one.

Use package manager and install "firefox-official". You can see almost all Youtube videos with this browser.

If you are new to Linux you will have to do some reading about how it works. Linux is a multiuser system and the users names are very important in order for the operating system to works properly. Don't think you can overcome that. As you read you will understand the concepts. Of all linux distros, Slitaz is the most easy to install and use.  Start from the basis and grow from there. Go slowly. Read also the Slitaz documentation and the questions post in the forum. You learn a lot and find answers to your questions.

about your soundcard, are you sure it's not detected ? maybe it's just muted.

check that with alsamixer

as tony said, most linux distro make a difference between root and usual users. Actualy if you think it's weird, it's because your not familar with that (my guess, based on my own experience 15years ago when I discovered linux), after some time you'll see how powerful it is...

BUTT if you want a linux completly without username and password and being root by default, maybe puppylinux is for you. Personally I don't like puppy just because of this, but ok many people use it. Puppy is one closest linux of slitaz (I talk here about low ram/cpu requierment)
