Hello all rooling-iso 2012-02-18 wont boot on any of my 3 computers, is this a known bug?
Possible to get hold of older rooling-isos?
if you are working frugal - you have to change also bzImage and vmlinuz and not only rootfs.gz

I just downloaded the iso, and it stops at grub
So no one knows why it cant boot, stopped at GRUB before slitaz logo

Pascal reported a bug in rolling since I have committed the new graphical menu for isolinux (live cd boot loader is Syslinux not grub). It's seems you must select a language before the iso boot, may you try also to select the cmdline entry, write 'slitaz' and press ENTER.
I tested the new menu on a standard base iso but the rolling is a 4in1 iso (4 rootfs.gz, we check the RAM and boot in text mode if not enough RAM or in gui mode if plenty of RAM). We must find why automatic boot dont happend.

Yes, I can confirm this. The last day it happened once that I could boot only in case I had typed ,,lang=de kmap=de" in the boot command line. But sorry: forgotten with which one of the many versions that I had tried it had happend. Most likely it was the 4in1.

Problem is it locks before i can do anything, its the first Syslinux text that apears then it just locks, i cant type or do anything, to clearify its before slitaz menu
( Befora i can type #boot slitaz etc....
Now please be specific:
- do you boot from a CD?
- or dit you open the iso with isomaster and copied its content to some folder on some partition?
The machine on which you boot: it has Grub installed? Important, as then you could go on with a command line on this machine, boot ,,manually".

im only running the ISO of slitaz-rooling to boot from, no installed harddrive
even tried to boot from USB as working with other dist of slitaz
so no other os installed atm on any of my 3 computers that i about to use slitaz
on
worked with rooling a couple of weeks ago or maybe a month, so im not trying to install
just boot the cd.
Aha,
you boot from the CD then. In this case the first guess is that this CD has mistakes.
Wrong md5sum of the download etc.- This I would iron out first.

well no problem with cd or download, tried to download from mirrors same problem,
tried boot in virtual box as iso same thing happen there checksum is correct
nvm i just wait until a new rooling comes out and hope its fixed in that compilation
ok i did a quick workaorund, opened it in an iso editor and used files for boot menu from cooking and replaced the ones in rooling, now it boots ok.
The rolling iso's are generated each night with the latest packages on the mirror. I just tried to boot the standard core and the core-4in1 without any problem.
