5.0 cooking Is there a how to for getting HTML5 working to play youtube?

When I use midori to try to play a youtube video it gives me an error, but when I search for HTML5 and midori I don't find anything less than 2 or 3 years old.

I was hoping maybe there is a thread or a how to.  I have a fresh install to the disk, so I'm pretty sure I didn't cause it not to work unless it wasn't setup to work by default.

I would hope someone has got it working with one of the browsers by now.

Could you please post a link of some kind telling how?

Install this packages:

tazpkg -gi libwebkit-video

tazpkg -gi gst-ffmpeg

tazpkg -gi gst-plugins-good

For minimal depends:

tazpkg -gi spk

spk-add libwebkit-video gstreamer orc gst-plugins-base gst-plugins-good gst-ffmpeg --nodeps

Thanks again for the replies...

I tried the one, then the other, and at least got the initial screen of each video, but none played and no error messages.

Should I try again reloading with the rolling iso?  or maybe rc1 or 4.0?

And I wouldn't mind using a different browser if I knew which would work and what to install, if that would get it working...

I use RC1 (5.0) and watch Youtube using Mozilla Firefox or Seamonkey.

Midori is... too lightweight so to speak. I remember reading somewhere on this forum by one of the devs that Midori has some bug that prevents some modern features, a bug that will only be solved when the dev will find time to decompile it.

Anyway, install Firefox (you'll find it in the TazPanel) and Youtube will work.
