hey people - no support for other languages is only problem with this distribution... :-(

slitaz is great linux distribution with infinity potential... have NEVER EVER seen faster

linux in my live... this is probably because of improvements in architecture and no-nonsense

selection of the applications... i think you can break debian hegemony on the desktop JUST LIKE THAT!

but there are some problems and 1 BIG problem... at first - language of the keyboard can't be changed to polish...

so - because of that slitaz is just a fascinating tool and not the distribution for every day use...

you know - there is no need for complete translation making - english is the language of informatics...

but keyboard language, national fonts (UTF-8 maybe should work?), time zone - is te minimal minimum for useful distribution...

next in the order is support for hardware acceleration in graphic card and complete translation at the end... :-)

i can understand that some option in some programs don't work - debian somethimes have exactly the same problem... but lake

of national keyboard is the problem that - in fact - is blocking ALL...

have tried some tricks before and it was work in slitaz 4 but not for rc5-2... many fans of slitaz feel very confused about of that...

unhelpfully can't be the developer because of chronically lake of time - you know - we have here war with russia on ukraine - i tray forest and

urban survival, think all time about homemade fireworks etc etc... i think that russia just think about your own security but i cant just stay with

optymizm and good will... but i belive in the slitaz developers and maybe we finally will see polish keyboard in slitaz before the 3'rd world war and

the end of world...

selection of application is fantastic! architecture is so visionary as oryginal reiserfs filesystem maked by hans reiser - there is no other miracle

in linux world so spectacular like slitaz! off-line iso with packages is just the shot in then - nothing else can say... but lake of polish and other

national keyboards will destroy all effects... what a pity! just remember of 32 bit support for cheappy cpu, make the changes that i say and the sezame will be open...

remember my word... wish you succes with that!

sorry for my self-teached english - i was have contact with native speaker years before... that long story...

Hi pop,

Please excuse me very very much, I have not enough time to describe you solution.

But I have to say that SliTaz has package "locale-pl" for a relatively long time, please install it.

Then, please read this topic with similar problem: http://forum.slitaz.org/topic/romanian-keyboard-layout-on-slitaz#post-35353 only keep in mind that you setting up the Polish, not Romanian keyboard layout wink

I'll be free at Tuesday and will answer all your questions.

well - looks like you are really hard working men Aleksej... its really ipmresive... maybe it will make good effect in the future at the end - who known?

don't be affraid - i remember many things and - in fact - polish is very different than Romanian... you know - visionary architecture of slitaz is amazing

but different - in debian you just make xkbmap pl and some things at the beginning of installation and it work... if you dont have good described wiki than

all links in google just say: polish is not supported... so - just locale-pl and polish keyboard work? its good news... you know - helpfully my life not depends on that...

its just hobby, free time try to cheappy way of improvements in my virtual-self-security... unhelpfully its the only way for me - with so many interesting options like raspberry pi -

on the next 15 years... or how long slitaz will be the only one... i fell that ist time for vm-player experiments... more questions?

maybe later - thanks a lot...

as aleksej say - yes - it is - via locale-pl package... after installing do that

http://forum.slitaz.org/topic/romanian-keyboard-layout-on-slitaz#post-35353

and it should work... i don't try this yet - maybe in February... :-) if you can - do that and write how it work for my poor homeland...

well - my comfort break no vodka (is probably making from oil or something) but over 5000 dead people on the street of ukraina... and - in fact - it's not red alert... probability of total war like in red alert is about 50% - like after coin throw... prepare yorself for something like that:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1KjUhVnnI8

with less number of gadgets but greatly improved number of enemy...

USA is ready as i hear - they bought 200 000 000 body bags...

damn - i hope you don't have 7 years and you will not be crying...

and at least - don't shoot to russian's - they probably stabilize all region as i hear...

from air, land and maybe see - with big number in many locations - a lot of work for everybody...

around year 2030...
