Hi,
When i search package in pkgs.slitaz.org, for example libreoffice, no results display.
But if i choose description in list, get-LibreOffice package is display as result.
I think, search engine use strict package name.
It's bad for users, he should package not exist but wrong.

Hi shann,
One solution is to get results in a terminal with this command above :

get-LibreOffice 1.2 office
================================================================

Available packages name-version
================================================================
get-LibreOffice-1.2
================================================================
1 available packages found for: libreoffice
root@slitaz:~$ tazpkg search chrome
Search result for: chrome
================================================================
Installed packages

Search the Description instead of Package was what I was told to do when I reported the bug over 2 years ago. If using Description is the only way to get results from a partial query then it should be the default instead of Packages.

Hi EscapeTiger,
Yes of course
.
I did point out that a bug I read a blogger whose articles appear completely on one of these.
Mojo,the problem is known for two years, but nothing was done to fix this.
This is very damaging. In the article, the blogger pointed out that LibreOffice was not present when in fact it is present in our distribution.

@shann
Available packages are on the slitaz mirror.
No LibreOffice-4.2.5.tazpkg listed:
Available packages name-version
================================================================
get-LibreOffice-1.2
================================================================
1 available packages found for: libreoffice
Installed packages from get-scripts are not on the slitaz mirror.
EscapeTiger used get-LibreOffice script to fetch/convert/install LibreOffice
on his computer.
================================================================
Installed packages
================================================================
LibreOffice 4.2.5 office
get-LibreOffice 1.2 office
================================================================
2 installed packages found for: libreoffice
The problem is nothing more than an annoyance.
The code is here: http://hg.slitaz.org/slitaz-forge/file/fd82e00c58db/pkgs
If anyone has suggestions for fixing the search bug post them here.
