How to translate Slitaz after installation?

Hello everybody!

I'm a brazilian newbie at Slitaz. I'm using 32 bit rolling 11-01-15 version.

Let me try to explain the case to you all: when I use Slitaz in LiveCD, I choose the options to get it in Portuguese-Brazilian at startup (Brazilian-abnt2), and the system comes almost entirely in Portuguese. Nice.

When I installed Slitaz at a Virtualbox virtual machine, I installed it in English because I have read that the portuguese installer has a bug. After the installation, I used the "Slitaz Config Dialogs" menu to change my keyboard to "br-abnt2" and the locale to "pt_BR". The keyboard is OK.

Here is the problem: only a few parts of the system became into Portuguese; only the menu Applications and the desktop item "Documentation".

At LiveCD, even PCManFM menus were in pt_BR, but at virtual machine it's all in English. Same to other applications: Midori, etc...

After this, I tried to install Slitaz directly in portuguese, but I had the same problem.

My question is simple: is there a way to translate properly all the OS to Portuguese (pt_BR)? Did I do something wrong? Should I install something?

Any help will be welcome. Sorry for my bad English.

try to change the language with "menu" => "language settings" => to "pt_BR".

logout and login again. maybe this works? For me it does in 4.0 ;-)

I have already tried that, but it doesn't work.

Also, when I type at a terminal:

$ locale

...it returns that all flags are set to pt_BR, but OS still almost in English.

Re: How to translate Slitaz after installation?

Hello!

We have found that this issue could be caused due to a bug present at rolling 11-01-15.

Rolling 25-01-15 also has a problem: after an instalation and rebooting, it goes into a Kernel Panic.

I tested rolling 01-02-15 and translation works well here.

So, the solution is simple: when you find a problem like this, use/test the latest rolling.

The topic is resolved! Many thanks to Claudinei Pereira and aniguenni!
