HELP!! Manage to install Slitaz on 2GB SSD

Hello everyone,

I've tried many distros and I very like Slitaz. I just got an old notebook, pentium M 900mhz, 512MB RAM and 2GB SSD. I am going to buy an 16GB SD card.

Before I buy that SD, I wanna try to install Slitaz on SSD.

I already boot from liveUSB. Run slitaz-installer, i reboot after install. But Grub cannot be boot.

I have an error which I believe this is my problem: when I mount slitaz-5.0-rc2.iso to /media/cdrom (just like slitaz-doc said), it report "/dev/loop0 is write-protected, mounted read-only".

I wonder how can I mount this successfully?

First, check that your notebook can handle SDHC cards, (that is, bigger than 2GB, up to, I think,  32GB), lots of old machines only support SD cards, (up to 2GB).

Second, I suggest you use 'rolling' rather than 5.0-rc2 as it is more up to date & quite stable. This should install from your liveCD onto any disk.

Third, (from my memory), you only need to loop mount a cdrom if you are creating your own version.
