Consider yourself lucky the menu entry boots the computer.
Sometimes the installer totally fails configuring /boot/grub/menu.lst and the computer won't boot.
# out the boot stanza you don't want to see in menu.lst and it won't appear in the menu.
Make sure the visible entry boots the computer,if not hit the e key and remove the # hit enter and b to boot.
This is a temporary edit, you have to edit menu.lst to make it stick.
I don't recommend disabling the menu, sometimes you need to edit the menu as above or to disable xorg with "screen=text" if the video craps out and you boot to a blank screen. If you can boot to console you can fix the problem, if the menus disabled you have to boot a live cd,mount the partition holding slitaz and re-enable the menu before you can fix the problem. I reduce the timeout from 8 seconds to 2 seconds which gives me enough time to hit the e key to edit the menu if necessary.
