Desktop environments

Is there any way to install alternative desktop environments? My computer can handle it, and I chose Slitaz because it was the only Linux distro that would install on my emachine.

Unless you can deal with problems on your own I don't recommend it. There used to a an xfce flavor (version) of slitaz but when login broke we removed it.

Currently in my TODO list, but dont have much time to start updating xfce packages in SliTaz.

I've just used the package manager to install XFCE4, and, after selecting it (by pressing F1 at the login screen) it won't start. And now I read this... Does XFCE work or now? Thanks.
