if you open an image with mtpaint, even if you do not check

" make the application default" , then it will open it again with mtpaint.

You have then to specify explicitely that Viewnor is the default application

This fix's the problem for me:

#tazpkg reconfigure pcmanfm

Re-runs post install :

# update mime-cache

echo "Updating mime-types database"

update-mime-database $1/usr/share/mime
