Hardware request for a SliTaz Developer

Hi all,

SliTaz is all about collaboration and voluntary work, I started the project alone but it's now more than 4 years I work with some great people. SliTaz have a wonderful community and need hardware to work. Actually we have a long time developer living in Brazil who needs a machine to install SliTaz on it.

The requested hardware don't need to be much powerful, a single P4 with at least 512MB RAM would be already very great and a monitor is also needed. We may need also a solution or some money to send the hardware to Brazil.

It's the first time I do such a request and I hope we will be able to help our friend :-) Please answer here or contact me as well as Claudinei directly.

Never a P4 - the bill for electricity will make you very poor. The only thing you can do with P4 is to bring it for recycling -  I still have a NV7050 board and Rams, but no CPU - but I first have to look, how expensive it is to send to Brasil - maybe its better I buy something on ebay brasil.....

You right about P4, the idea is to have a slitaz compatible machine not new but not too old :-)

Yes I know sending to Brazil is a problem and Ebay idea is nice Tom :-) We can maybe do a gofundme for that.

sending is not that expensive - just a little bit more than to swizzerland......

so I will go tomorrow for this CPU

If anybody deserves it, Claudinei does. I'll see if I can get a hold of my friend in America that works with servers. Maybe he has some spares he can send Claudinei's way. Might not be a complete system, but might be able to help.

claudianei, the CPU should arrive soon - so I will test and send it as soon as possible

I am very sorry, but the CPU did not arrive until now - if it is not coming tomorrow, you have to wait 2 more weeks, because I leaf on friday
