Slitaz 4 RC1/RC2 doesn't boot

Hi, I'm very new to linux, so sorry for my stupid questions.

I've got working Slitaz 3 on my usb stick, which works perfectly, no problems with writefs and things like that.

So I wanted to try out this new release, so I've downloaded it and using tazusb.exe (I'm on Win7) wrote it to flash drive, which I formatted before.

Now it doesn't boot and it's stuck on SYSLINUX 3.8.... with blinking cursor like in DOS.

I've tried 3 different flashdisks and sd cards so that's not problem I guess?

Hi,

Can you list the file installe by tazusb.exe on the usb stick ?

Here is a way to make LiveUSB that works:

- Burn ISO to cdrom and Boot from cdrom

- Format the key in ext3 with Gparted (fat32 dosen't work)

- System tools --> Create a LiveUSB

I tested writeiso with RC but it's a bit tricky, the boot menu is not updated and search for multi rootfs but writeiso create only one rootfs.gz with all the system in it. After writeiso you can still boot but must edit de core line via [TAB] to have: initrd=/boot/rootfs.gz

Or wait a bit before doing a writeiso, we have fixed the bug in our repositories and package will be soon updated.

Hi, 5 minutes ago I finally managed to get it working - I used unetbootin and now it works perfectly, except there's not original boot menu which is not big problem

I guess that tazusb.exe for Windows(and Linux too?) needs to be fixed?

PS: I can't format it to ext3 anyway because I still use it on non-Linux systems.
