Hi
I managed after much strugle , as always with CUPS, to setup my printer. This is a Canon Pixma MP800 connecting trough a printserver from DLINK (DPR-1020) using IPP.
However, when printing i get the unsupported document format error for any document I try to print. I am not very skilled in CUPS setup but have tried a few tricks mentioned in other treads like reinstalling ghostscripts, cupsd itself and also the gutenprint driver.
Which logs should I look into to gain more information? Thats one question and how do I go on further to solve the problem completely. Thats another question...
Also, printing the test page from CUPS gives an error. It says unsupported format "application/vnd.cups-banner" which is the same message given if you try to use the lpr command to print the test page. Prob. because it is the very same thing you do.
Any help appreciated.

Hi thanks.. It solved the initial problem,(after also installing qpdf) now I do not get any errors while printing except for the fact that nothing comes out of my printer.
These are the settings used for CUPS
Description: Canon PIXMA MP800
Location: Rett bak deg
Driver: Canon PIXMA MP800 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8 (color, 2-sided printing)
Connection: lpd://192.168.2.7/dlk-E5ABE6-U1
Defaults: job-sheets=none, none media=iso_a4_210x297mm sides=one-sided
The connection url is very much the same as used by windows when setting up lpr protocol, and this is working well. the only diference is that windows (win7) does not ask for a protocol in the url like lpd:// ...
However, I do not use cooking/5.0. heres my uname output

Network printing works with my parallel port printer connected to winxp computer with "print services for unix" using lpd.
Verify the TCP/IP Print Server on windows is running from slitaz.
