creating keyboard shortcuts SliTaz

Hi guys:

I share a small script that allows keyboard shortcuts in our SliTaz. For example, I believe the following shortcuts: System Shutdown touching only one key, sleep Sleep monitor key and only can wake up with Wake Up key and these keys do not use Windows ever with win left firefox launched with win right sakura launched and you can control the sound volume alsamixer (although it tends sometimes be slow) but as entertainment is interesting.

They can program the keys you want and create your own keyboard shortcuts launching the applications they want.

I climbed a zipped file (shortcuts.tar.bz2) where there are two script, install.sh and uninstall.sh and an illustrative picture.

Hope you have fun. http://publinea.netfast.org/downloads/

Greetings to all!

Re: creating keyboard shortcuts SliTaz

Hi rerivero,

It works like a charm smile

Just some points for consideration:

1.Installing via script is a bit unusual. Maybe, simple how-to for installing required packages and editing files would be more convenient.

2. Command "$xbindkeys -k" indicates directly a key (or a combination of keys) that can be added to file "~/.xbindkeysrc".

For example, here is "win+z" for my machine:

tux@lx:~$ xbindkeys -k

Press combination of keys or/and click under the window.

You can use one of the two lines after "NoCommand"

in $HOME/.xbindkeysrc to bind a key.

"(Scheme function)"

Re: creating keyboard shortcuts SliTaz

Hi ray,

It is good that the keyboard shortcut has worked, it is useful and fun.

Interesting your notes.

I just resubmitted shortcuts.tar.bz2 with my current configuration of .xbindkeysrc

Regards!
