Hi all trying to convert Gimpshop from .deb to .tazpkg however
when running #tazpkg convert gimpshop.deb
it just sits there nothing seems to happen, iguess it tries to convert in memory?
if that is so maybe thats why it seems not to work, and if so possible to
get it to convert in an temporary folder instead?

It probably has a lot of dependencies and files within the package. Basically it checks every file against the dependencies they may need. This is slow if there is either alot of files or alot of dependencies. That's the only time it stops working for so long. This is why I always avoid large or dependency heavy packages.
