total system breakdown after update

hello;

i did up my system (32bit-cooking). and now I have nothing after session manager (it is slim AFAK).

just a black screen with two icon on it.

my touchpad (in my laptop) won't double tap anymore. and I can't do anything.

all of my icons changed with a red "x" icon.

about touchpad I know it is 50-synaptic. but I don't know what should be in it for full support.

about the rest I have no clue.

my panel (top of the desktop) is also gone.

ALT+F4 works.

my fn key on my laptop works two. ex. f5 will change the brightness and fn+f5 will refresh firefox tab

there is also the sound level changing back at reboot. the same with change the keymap plugin beside clock in system tray.

x.org doesn't work properly after update: 15 screens appear from left to right, each with the high of only 2,5 .. 3,5 cm, on the HD monitor. it is possible to distinguish the mouse cursor as a mini light point movable (on all the screens at the same time), but nothing to do to use the installation any more and read something...

a/ how to start in console mode

b/ how to desinstall the new bad x.org version

c/ how to reinstall the old one?

915resolution was rebuilt April 23, nothing else from X has been rebuilt/upgraded.

I uploaded the previous build of 915resolution to download/install from console.

Add [c]screen=text[/c] to kernel line of bootloader

syslinux: hit Enter to boot
