SliTaz won't boot (after failed attempt to ungrade system)

Hi everyone, SliTaz won't boot. Also, putting a usb stick to switch to lubuntu, the computer recognize the usb device but when you select to boot from there it will do as you selected to boot from disk. It used to make two beep at boot, now it stillmakes two beep but the time between them is longer. This is the message that comes out, also a longer version where the final part is this one anyways. Machine is an Acer Veriton 281

I read swapper not tained

Does this mean I have a chance to save the pc ?

So this message above is when I try to turn on the computer on the normal option, when selecting the cooking option it goes with a longer mesage that anyway ends like the one above. And now is making just one beep.

keyboard is unresponsive, every key I push seem not to work (keyborad works fine, tested)

Hi,

the Laptop should not have any problems to boot linux - there is only a problem with WiFi

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1997744 - so Lubuntu should boot without any problems

all I can say is, try to boot from internal harddisk

Do you want to hear the answer "I don't know" here?

O.k. I don't know.

What does two beeps means? Or two sparse beeps? Quick search tells me that it may depend on your motherboard BIOS. I don't know it. Really, I hear silence from my netbook at boot time.

Please, search the internet, maybe that beeps means something...

Next. You wrote about failed attempt to upgrade SliTaz and about USB stick. I think you installed SliTaz into that stick, correct me if I wrong. Next, I can guess how you installed SliTaz on stick, but I could be wrong.

I see so called "Kernel panic". Seems you used something like "tazusb writefs" to save your current system into single archive. It is known issue. And I don't know the solution. And seems, two other SliTaz active developers also don't know that. It is o.k. for small "archives" like SliTaz Live USB is; but it is k.o. almost every time for big (or maybe just bigger) "archives" with SliTaz inside packed with many packages. There's no solution, it is a dead end.

That's all. Oh, yes when system get the "Kernel panic" system just freezes, it not listen to keyboard, you can only to switch it off.

I can only suggest you to install SliTaz into your computer's hard disk if you plan to work with it frequently, from day to day. Or make new Live USB, but not upgrade it.
