5.0 live CD wifi

I'm testing the 5.0 live CD on an old 512MB ram notebook - system run smoothly as usual - system see my router correctly and shows it's connected but I got no internet connection - no slitaz panel no xombreno  etc. -  might it be a firmware problem?
