GNU Octave

Hi. I'd like to request that someone update the package for Octave, as that version of Octave is quite old. If that's not practical, could someone explain how I might otherwise install it? Thanks you.

Yes, the current GNU octave 3.6.2 is from 2012 May :-(

Please check the INSTALL file inside octave-4.0.0.tar.xz, see ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/octave/

Re: GNU Octave

I updated the receipt and started the package cooking. It is long (~50 minutes), so if you have this message just now, wait a bit. When the package is cooked you'll have a "download" link here: http://cook.slitaz.org/cooker.cgi?pkg=octave . Please download, install, test, and report.

(I'm sorry I couldn't try and cook it on my machine first, because this is an old laptop.)

Re: GNU Octave

To be precise, I had started cook and the configure stage had completed without errors. Only at the "make" stage did I stopped cooking.

Cooker compiled the package successfully. Please test octave works as expected. http://cook.slitaz.org/cooker.cgi?download=octave-4.0.0.tazpkg
