atualizaram o mesa no slitaz 5 para "mesa-9.1.3.tazpkg" dai pesquisei no /cooking e nao achei o pacote
sis para minha vga "SIS M650 32mb" por causa disso nao tenho nem OpenGL e nem direct 3D...
se alguem tiver ou fazer um posta o link ai por favor.
obs: no Slitaz 4 tem o pacote "mesa-dri-sis-7.10.2.tazpkg" para o "mesa-7.10.2.tazpkg".

as far as I understand, Sis cards are no more supported by Mesa - http://www.mesa3d.org/systems.html
the support of those old grafic drivers went to fbdev - https://github.com/torvalds/linux/tree/master/drivers/video/fbdev/sis
fbdev is included in cooking - so it should run the fbdev driver automatic

fbdev should be working out of the box - you can check it by controling the file var/log/Xorg.0.log
if you are not hapy with fbdev, you can try to use the xorg sis driver with DRISWRAST GL renderer
you have to start the RC3 in consolemode by adding screen=text

I have one old computer with SIS but very little RAM - I think 256 MB and when I tested fbdev worked better - but this may is different, when you have more ram

I give up, not can not turn on OpenGL on slitaz I tried on
slitaz 4
slitaz 5
slitaz weekly
I used the command
# tazx
but from an error and not active. I get back to puppy tahr 6.0.2 nopae that already comes with mesa and opengl drive is actived for my sis m650 32mb 
my pc specs
AMD Duron 1200+ (1,2GHz)
512 DDR1 (400MHz)
SIS 65x/M650/740 PCI AGP 32MB (315 Series) [accept overclock max 64MB but need more RAM]
HD 160GB Sata > on IDE (using adapter)
Part 1 (NTFS) With XP
Part 2 (Linux-Swap)
Part 3 (Ext3) With Slitaz 5 rc3 (I had to use the grub4dos of the Puppy Linux 6 for him to recognize the slitaz and xp, why the bootloader of slitaz not recognize my xp not know why ...)
when someone solve it for me I go back to slitaz

escolhi o video-sis
deu o mesmo erro so que agora no hardinfo esta escrito "Software Rasterizer"
e no #glxinfo consta Direct Rendering: Yes
eu testei com o #glxgears apareceu as engrenagens normal....
so que o xorg nao esta instalado direito vou tentar converter o xorg do puppy tahr por que
ele reconhece no hardinfo o opengl como "galium 0.4 on softpipe".... [attachment=40783,2177]

but it would be great, if you could test the new undigest packages, if mesa-dri-sis-7.10.2.tazpkg somehow works? - just try to install both packages on top of your working RC3

Abra o PCManFM (como Root) e crie esse arquivo /root/xorg.conf.new
agora no Sakura Terminal:
