/usr/bin/alsa missing in alsa package?

hey folks,

im trying to restart alsa on my running system, because my usb audio interface isnt initialised properly (by its corresponding .conf file in /etc/modprobe.d/ ) anymore after i switched to my new ssd drive. (which is very strange because im running a frugal install, shouldnt be bothered by my ssd at all..)

my research gave me the follwing command:

$ sudo alsa force-reload

i have all the alsa packages installed and do not have any binary in /usr/bin/ named 'alsa'

is it renamed somehow, or missing ?

if so, is there another possibility to restart alsa on a running slitaz?

On opensuse I have no [c]alsa[/c] either.

There are [c]alsactl[/c] and [c]alsaconf[/c] but neither have a "force-reload" command.

maybe the info i found was deprecated.

i got a new usb audio (maya 44 usb+) interface which performs a lot better.
