Bonjour,
je viens d'installer SliTaz 4.0 sur le disque dur de mon PC (il n'y a aucun autre système). Je n'arrive pas à mettre la wifi, ni à me connecter par câble.
Après avoir cherché des infos : j'ai installé le module ipw2200 qui manquait, téléchargé depuis
wget http://people.slitaz.org/~mojo/stuff/ipw2200-firmware-3.1.tazpkg.
j'ai suivi la procédure de dépannage (http://doc.slitaz.org/fr:guides:wifi-easy#demarrer-le-wifi), voici les résultats mais je n'y comprends rien à vrai dire.
Pouvez-vous m'aider ? Un grand merci ! (Je suis vraiment débutante et je peux comprendre vite mais il faut m'expliquer longtemps et surtout, précisément sans vouloir abuser de votre temps)

Bonjour sd,
Avec SliTaz, tu dois choisir : ethernet ou wifi ; mais tu ne pourras pas travailler indifféremment avec l'un ou l'autre sans faire quelques modifications à chaque fois que tu changeras de type de connexion.
On va commencer par un état des lieux. Tu as installé la 4.0,
As-tu essayé tout d'abord de te connecter avec le câble ethernet ? si oui, pas de connexion ?
Ensuite, quand tu as essayé d'activer ton wifi, as-tu modifié quelque chose dans network.conf ?
Côté matériel, même si je pense avoir trouvé la réponse dans ton post précédent. Ouvre un terminal, tape
lspci -nn
et poste la réponse.
2 précisions :
Attention à la syntaxe des commandes : tous les caractères sont utiles et le système fait la distinction entre majuscules et minuscules...
Ne t'inquiète pas si je suis plusieurs jours sans donner de nouvelle, j'ai peu de temps libre des temps-ci

Bonjour Ceel.
J'ai fait une première installation sur disque dur où j'ai tout essayé pour me connecter par câble ou wifi, l'un après l'autre. La machine ne détectait aucun réseau. J'ai fait pas mal de modifications dans le network.conf mais ça n'a pas marché non plus, installé le module ipw2200 mais ensuite pas moyen pour l'ordi de trouver les modules complémentaires.
Du coup, je suis repartie à zéro en réinstallant Slitaz 4.0. J'ai donc revérifié que tout marchait mais non et réinstallé le module pour ipw2200. C'est tout. La première fois, j'ai fait des modif à la main et essayé de configurer le réseau mais pas de changements ni de réactions.
Au démarrage, il indique 5 fois ERROR: unable to find IOAPIC for GNU +un numéro.
J'ai aussi remarqué que c'est la version cooking, je croyais que c'était une version stable ... Bon ça n'a sûrement aucun rapport de toute façon.

On va d'abord essayer de faire fonctionner la connexion par câble ethernet. Normalement, après l'installation, ça devrait marcher ; on voit dans ton premier post (la commande [c]lsmod[/c]) que le noyau a chargé les drivers de ta carte [c]b44[/c] et [c]ssb[/c].
Tu peux t'en assurer en retapant [c]lsmod[/c] dans un terminal.

Par défaut, pour la connexion ethernet, tu n'as rien à configurer, c'est du plug en play dans ton cas ; seul le wifi demandera une configuration.
Donc si tu n'as rien modifié, ça devrait marcher.
Avais-tu essayer la distribution avec un Live CD ou USB et si oui qu'en était-il de la connexion internet ?
Note : dans SliTaz 4.0, l'icone de connexion, en haut à droite de l'écran, indique par défaut l'état de la connexion wifi ; clique dessus puis choisi Nom = Eth0 et regarde si tu vois une activité reçu/envoyé.

J'avais essayé avec un live-cd et ça ne marchait pas non plus. Aucune activité pour eth0.
La seule chose que j'ai modifié tout à l'heure dans le tazpanel : le nom du réseau sfr et j'ai rentré la clé wifi. Il ne se passe rien. Bon ben je vais attendre encore du coup.

après une autre réinstallation, j'arrive enfin à me connecter un peu par câble. Sauf que je ne peux pas vraiment surfer. Je n'ai plus la croix rouge sur l'icône wifi.
Je pense que je vais essayer de tout refaire pour voir si ça marche.

modprobe ipw2200
when done check with ifconfig -a if the device shows up
if not check with dmesg | grep -i firmware if there is the same issue like before.

Maybe you should check which version of the ipw2200 driver is included in Slitaz4.
try modinfo ipw2200

it could be that you need an older Package.

2nd idea to troubleshoot this.
boot another live Linux...if the wifi is working, check wich module and firmware Files are being loaded...compare the md5sum of the firmware files, if they are different, copy them into Slitaz
(the firmware only)

La version de Midori dans SliTaz 4.0 est dépassée et ne permet effectivement plus grand chose. Si tu as assez de mémoire (combien au fait ?) tu pourras installer un autre navigateur.

Parfait, le driver de ta carte wifi est installé ; il ne reste plus qu'à faire la configuration.
Tout d'abord, assure-toi que ta carte wifi et en service ; sur pas mal de PC, il y a un bouton ON/OFF.
Ensuite, rendez-vous dans TazPanel > Network > Wireless
[*]Clique sur [Démarrer] ; la liste des wifi détectés devrait s'afficher.
[*]Sélectionne ta box.
[*]Dans l'encadré Connexion tu devrais voir apparaître le nom de ta box (Nom du réseau (EESID)).
[*]Entre ta clé wifi dans le champ Mot de passe (Clé Wifi)
[*]Lance la procédure de reconnaissance d'une nouvelle connexion wifi sur ta box et clique sur [Configurer]
Maintenant, dans l'encadré Fichier de configuration, tu devrais voir [c]WIFI="yes"[/c]
[*]Ouvre un terminal en tant que root et lance la commande
/etc/init.d/network.sh restart
Ta connexion ethernet ne devrait plus fonctionner mais le wifi devrait être OK.
Si ça bloque quelque part, dis-nous à quel niveau.
Pour revenir à la connexion ethernet :
[*]TazPanel > Network > Wireless
[*][Édition manuelle]
[*][c]WIFI="no"[/c]
[*][Enregistrer]

Merci beaucoup, ça marche bien maintenant. Je crois qu'il fallait faire les choses au fur et à mesure et attendre que l'ordinateur s'imprègne des changements.
