I am running a Rolling version and things have been excellent...recently I added an SSD, additional to the existing IDE Hdd which held Ubuntu and Slitaz.
I did a Grub update and it found the disks including Slitaz but I can no longer boot into Slitaz....I get the follwing error:Please append a correct "root= " boot option
I don't know how to correct this, can anybody help

I guess this depends on where you plugged in the SSD and where you installed grub. Did you swap the two drives when you installed the SSD? Without knowing exactly what you may have done, I would suggest that you remove the SSD and see whether you can boot into Slitaz or Ubuntu - at least this will eliminate any issues associated with the SSD.

It is set up to boot into the Ubuntu/Slitaz drive.....Ubuntu is first on the list, Slitaz second and, on the SSD, Peppermint shows at #3 in Grub2.
The install is on an Acer Aspire 5315 Laptop....the SSD replacing the HDD in the PC while the HDD is installed via an adaptor in the optical drive slot...
With the SSD removed I can boot into Ubuntu but not Slitaz or Peppermint

Start your system with a Live CD/USB.
Open a terminal as root then
[c]fdisk -l[/c]
Identify device and partition for each distro.
Post you menu.lst

Things do seem to be where they should and I feel that the installed Slitaz should respond but I have decided to install the latest Rolling to a USB Drive. This gives more portability and also should boot quicker than that on the HDD....
