Re: thinkpad - wireless ?

Hi moulefrite,

Please paste the output of the command "dmesg" to our paste.slitaz.org and post link back here.

Some time ago kultex sent me a laptop. Wi-Fi also not worked out-of-the-box. Reading "dmesg" I've got that I need some firmware file for it to work.

PS. Searching your net controller I guess you need to install the package [c]firmware-iwlwifi-6000[/c] (that only contains the file iwlwifi-6000g2a-6.ucode). Try it, and if it not work, then post dmesg output, etc.

PPS. Reboot the box after package installing.

Hi Aleksej,

Perfect it works !  I didnt play with SLitaz for long time, so forget mostly to make it done.

A special thanks for you all guys. I never think about it in deep but your work and help, given for free and in anonymity, proves that there is high humanity and value in you.

Being useful for others is probably the most valuable and important thing for a man down on earth.

Re: thinkpad - wireless ?

Just wanted to add that this solution worked for me also.

Using the Rolling 5.0 release on Lenovo thinkpad t430, with gigabit network card 82579lm.

Just copied and installed via usb and restarted, then the wifi-box dialog found the network.
