I installed the fbreader package and tried to open an epub book.
It opened the book but the page change forward and page change backward buttons were greyed out and didn't function.
I would use fbreader if the page movement buttons worked but scrolling through text is not very useable.
The book was Bypass-Gemini by Joseph Lallo, epub version, its free download.
Edit: It is not possible to enter any number into the goto-page field either.

Hi raj,
Seems these arrows are not for page moving. They not working as you expected even for the fb2 book.
You can use keys Up, Down, Page Up, Page Down to scroll the text.
Also you can use "sheet" icon (right to the page number entry box) to call Contents and jump to the chapter you need. (Please, jump from one chapter to another several times in a row, and then "<- ->" buttons will work transferring you across places you jumped previously).
So, seems this behavior is "by design".

fbreader doesn't have bookmark capability either so instead I installed coolreader.
I found coolreader-3.0.56-1pclos2014.rpm in a PClinuxOS archive in the "updates" section and converted it with
# tazpkg convert coolreader-3.0.56-1pclos2014.rpm
into a tazpkg and installed that.
It has plenty of customization features, page turning buttons and bookmarks.
There is also a *.deb package for coolreader 3.0.56-7 available from the coolreader source page but it has a dependency on libpng-14 and slitaz only has libpng-12.
