Ho un NetBook un Lenovo IdeaPad 11iby con IntelAtom, siccome la batteria viene rilevata correttamente solo col kernel 4.11 per ora, vorrei compilare Slitaz con quel kernel.
Non sono molto esperto e mi preoccupa la scelta dei giusti parametri di config durante la compilazione.
Qualche aiutino? Se avete Skype o TeamSpeak o Curse anche per parlarci a me sta bene.

Puoi usare la configurazione del kernel corrente, poi sul nuovo se ti servono attivi le voci mancanti.
zcat /proc/config.gz > .config
make oldconfig

Ma nello specifico quali passaggi dovrei compiere per la compilazione del solo kernel?
In oltre avrei in questo modo il supporto alle cpu intelatom, wifi_sdio, acpi, hdmi, bluetooth o devo compilare altri moduli o modificare il config per ciò?
Non ho mai compilato un kernel purtroppo non sò dove sbattere la testa, il punto è che Slitaz mi piace molto e vorrei sfruttarlo sul NetBook per mantenere lo scaling cpu basso il pià possibile per migliorare la durata batteria, cosa che con windows e distro grosse non è facile fare.

L'avventura della compilazione del kernel non è fra le più semplici in assoluto. Comunque con pazienza e con passione ci si può riuscire anche senza essere un esperto.
Per preparare slitaz alla compilazione segui questi passaggi

non guardare la versione che c'è nella guida, ad ogni distro slitaz 4 slitaz 5 rolling etc. i comandi tirano giù i suoi sorgenti.
Poi una volta che hai fatto esperienza ricompilando l'originale, puoi provare a procurarti i sorgenti di quello che vuoi tu, o ad applicare solo la patch che serve nel tuo caso specifico.

Avevo fatto delle ricerche il punto è proprio che li parla di kernels suoi insomma, in oltre non ho bene idea dei moduli che dovrei o meno attivare in fase di compilazione.

non conosco quel netbook. Cmq da una breve ricerca per il problema del riconoscimento batteria esiste una patch da applicare ai sorgenti dei kernel precedenti

In ogni caso nel 4.11rc1 pare essere gia inclusa perché viene correttamente rilevata (seguo BugZilla sul modello di batteria) ecco perché vorrei usare gia 4.11 o successivi anche perché stanno lavorando molto sulla gestione dispositivi di rete e non solo quindi mi aspetto in generale dei miglioramenti nella gestione del netbook.
Quando avrò tempo proverò a fare tutto sto casino (per me) di roba, che si aggiunge a dei tests che devo fare in virtuale [poi clono tutto con clonezilla e riscrivo sul NetBook direttamente] per installare grub uefi-32bit da iso modificata apposta per Ubuntu con cambio config grub e switch su partizione Slitaz così posso bootare sia che usi la 32bit che la 64bit (visti i consumi di ram bassi di base di Slitaz e i pochi processi attivi penso opterò per la 64bit per usare direttive più efficienti)

I did the Kernel for next. Slitaz and as fare as i know, there are until now only two linux distributions, who are working well with new atoms, pentium and celerons - these are Linuxium and gallium OS. For my Dell with celeron n3050 galliumos works best - you should try both.
Its not depending on the kernel. - its depending on the patches. Its not Clearstream now, if all patschest are going into 4.9lts, but i Hope, wie will be able to Support this in next slitaz.....

just got the massage from Greg Kroah-Hartman, that he will include all patches for Bay Trail, SoFIA, Braswell and Cherry Trail CPUs in 4.9 LTS

Im already a member of google group of Asus T100 linuxium and there 4.11rc3 kernel is doing very good in tests....thats why i want try to recompile it for Slitaz.
I must get info of all patches added into these ISO for T100 then add them to the source 4.11 and then compile it.
This would be the best choice for T100 or similar as my NetBook.

I agree with you, that SliTaz is be the best choice for all those baytrail, cherrytrail, braswell Atoms - especially if you need windows on it for some special programs as I do - but the problem is, that I think, that 4.11 will not work well together with very old libc of SliTaz 5.0 - I would not bet, but I think it could be some kind of wasted time.
Hopefully we get soon a testing basic 6.0 iso from Aleksej - so it would be good, if you can test it, as soon as it is available.
Can you test in the meantime galliumos for me - especially, if everything works and if there is different battery time - like on my dell the battery time with galliumos is about 30% better than in win10. Galliumos uses slightly different patches than linuxium - this would be good to know!

GalliumOS seems to need Legacy Boot and on my netbook that is not possibile, if it was possible (boot legacy) i would have tried more or installed XP Faster v1 (80mb ram boot 700mb ssd).
And Plus my netbook battery is not recognized before kernel 4.11rc1 so i must use 4.11rc3 or 4.11 stable and newer or is useless try...
I think the only thing good we can get from galliumos is the list of patches, if the say them, for Atom's cpu and add them in the compiling process on Slitaz.

your battery would be recognized correctly in galliumos - and yes they have no Uefi...
but I think, it would be possible with the Arch Multiboot USB Drive
