Transmission in SliTaz 4.0???

So here is my question. Where in the world is Transmission in this installation of SliTaz. I have Slitaz Installed on Virtual Box. I have looked up in the Package manager to see if i can install Trans without going into Term. It looks like (at least from the Package Manager) that everything is there to run Transmission. In the installed applications area transmission does not show up. Is Transmission a headless installation in this version? If it is not supposed to be is there any way i can add the icon to the applications area of the desktop?

I have watched a few youtube reviews of SliTaz and under the Internet drop down the transmission icon is right there. My live CD does not have this. Neither does the full install i have done. I can install Transmission Daemon or Transmission-GTK but as i have very few hours on linux boxes i would hate to have two conflicting installs on this SliTaz if Transmission already exists.

I guess i am just a touch confused is all. Any help or a point in the right direction would be helpful.

Re: Transmission in SliTaz 4.0???

Slitaz-4.0 release is 4 flavors in 1 (base,justx,gtkonly,core)

The detected memory of the hardware determines what flavor the iso boots into.

Transmission is installed only if the hardware has 160MB+ of free memory so the iso boots into core flavor.

Re: Transmission in SliTaz 4.0???

When installing i have 700+ MB of free ram. When the boot loader comes up for the live cd i have been picking Base as the build to log into. Is this not the all inclusive build? At this point i can only assume i have been installing the incorrect package. If that is the case i apologize for the wasted posts.

Just for future reference which build is the most resource taxing with everything included in the install? I am running this on an 8GB ram setup and i doubt with two instances of SliTaz running on Virtual box and linux mint as the main i will ever max the ram out.

Sorry for any misunderstanding on the build order with these.

Re: Transmission in SliTaz 4.0???

This is my bad. I have a 5.0 SliTaz Rolling. which seems to be a different set of applications. I had zero issues installing transmission so i am marking this as solved. It is due to my own ignorance that i had any issues. Thank you very much. I do realize rolling is probably not the best idea for me but thats why i am installing all of this on a test rig before i finalize my setup. Gotta learn some how. Might as well jump in head first and hope its not the shallow end...
