hello
Two days ago I install Slitaz and I have to say that I really like it, but for 2 days I try to install opera on it.
I try every tutorial I found on forum, but I only got error msgs.
I try to: get-opera (not found)
I download some rpm pakege and qt3 library i try to convert it and install and everytime i get some errors...
I'm quite rookie on Slitaz and I haven't use linux for fiew years I really know that's the silly question and silly problem... but could enybody help me???
In every post that I found there are some problems that linked files are no longer there.
I really have to look for qt3 and arch2taz but after 2 day I got enought also my wife got enought (and that's extrymlly dangerous so please please help me).

Boot into slitaz.
Connect slitaz to internet.
Open terminal,become root.
tazpkg get-install get-opera

I've already linked java with this method and it works,
but I got some problems with flash.
I've got the flash tazpkg get-install get-flash-plugin
but how to link it to opera? Midori also doesn't see it...
I hope that when I get the tazusb to creat the usb all changes will be save 
)
It coast me a lot of work.
I thought that using tazusb I'll be able to make bootable usb using usb on another usb...
I boot Slitaz from usb not from CD...

Midori and Opera plugin path includes /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins , no user configuration required after a restart.

Will save installed software,configurations,and login to Xsession with slim login manager when running slitaz from USB flash drive or hard drive partition if:
[1]Flash or hard drive partition is formated to linux (ext3) filesystem before slitaz is installed.
[2]Bootloader kernel options include home=uuid of the slitaz install partition

Qt is not needed, Opera can use gtk2 or gtk3 engine as well.

It takes me some time to understand why I have to do the home=usb and writefs...
the rootfs I get in / so I change the dir and it's ok.
I got installed the flash packege but flash still dosn't work.
I don't even get the /usr/lib/mozilla ( i got some new firefox dir should i link the libs to the plugin dir?)

ok It's over a week know and I still don't have the flash installed.
In Slitaz 3.0 the problem was that I can't make the get-flash-plugin!
After recharge and change mirror get-flash-plugin runs smoothly...
But still no flash! and the get-flash mase something up with libraries (like cairo) after restart the Xserver crushes... It starts but no wallpaper, no bars, no menu only the cursor works fine.
I'll be very grateful for any help.
I try to instal the RC3 version but got kernel panic and tazusb gen-iso2usb don't work
(I try to make usb from another usb - once it works for me).
I know that I'm quite active and send alot of post but I really need the Slitaz badlly

writefs is being written to / because you do not have a valid partition for home=
Format the partition for /home with ext3 filesystem and use the UUID number.
Find UUID of partition:
root@slitaz:/home/tux# blkid
/dev/sda1: UUID="2c55c420-760a-4fa3-871b-64191dcc338a" TYPE="ext2"
To use /dev/sda1 for home:
home=2c55c420-760a-4fa3-871b-64191dcc338a

Add to initrd line depending on bootloader:
Grub: /boot/grub/menu.lst
Grub2: /boot/grub/grub.cfg
Extlinux:/boot/extlinux.conf
I try get-flash-plugin script in slitaz 3 and slitaz-4 and it installs/works in midori/opera/firefox without any additional configuration. Opera 11.60 install's ok,flash works, but Opera crash's on shutdown. I google the problem and found other distros with same issue, tried a couple workarounds but Opera 11.62 still crash on shutdown.

Opera 11.62 build 1347 shuts down without crashing on a new iso based on core.
