Great distro, thanks!
Sry 4 my English!
I downloaded recent slitaz-rolling-10in1.iso.
On my virtual machine it was wonderful and so I decided to install it on my very old HP nc6000 (Intel Pentium M 1.4GHz, 512Mb RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 32Mb). This laptop runs fine Debian 9 Stretch wit XFCE without any video issues. But I want Your great distro as second OS on it.
So, I burnt CD and booted from it with default settings.
Well, all text fields on panel were absent. No wallpaper. All graphical elements of the panel are rendered normally - 'shut down' button, 'spider' button (with no text on the right), etc.
When I push spider button, the opened menu is filled with colored horizontal stripes like this (I couldn't make screenshot, this is similar one form Internet) https://otvet.imgsmail.ru/download/88550f188a9c3b40669d0bec7b60e392_i-141.jpg.
All inner field of any app is filled with such stripes. Any dialogue buttons contain normal graphical pictograms and empty space insted of text.
Please help! I really want this wonderful OS on my old laptop!

First of all 10in1 it is NOT recent, but 2014
> slitaz-rolling-10in1.iso 2014-Oct-26 12:10:00 52.0M
> slitaz-rolling-10in1.iso
Full desktop with 32 bits kernel and 64 bits Kernel (2x), with gtkonly, justx and base alternatives + a tiny debug mode (5x)
Are you sure you need this "a tiny debug mode"?
Just get any other iso except 10in1.

TY!
And which distro is the freshest one?

You can see dates on this page, where you got this damned 10-in-1 http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/
2017 is "freshest one"
2014 is not
ANY rolling iso but NOT again 10in1.
Best choice:

TY again!
Another stupid question from Linux newbie. If I check 'Install a boot loader' during installation process on already multiboot Linux system with grub2, what it will do? Would it pick up old grub2 entries to a new config or what?

No, if you check 'Install a boot loader' during installation grub2 will be removed.

WOW!The new live CD booted fine! TY again!
OK, so I will install it without this option ('Install a boot loader') and then I will need to add menuentry to my grub2 config file, right?
Let's say I'm going to install SliTaz on /dev/sda4 partition.
Should I add 'boot' flag in GParted while preparing this partition?
Can You show me what entry should I add to grub config file? Or can You provide me a link to FAQ or smth. about this question?

Well, I installed http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/slitaz-rolling.iso and added it to boot menu.
Now I have the same problem as in original post. It is rather strange because Live CD booted normally and all screen elements were rendered OK without any glitches.
How can I fix this problem?

tty1-6 work fine

So I downloaded (from another system) ati-driver-installer-9-3-x86.x86_64.run
I chmoded and ran it in tty1.
After a while script says:
Error: ./default_policy.sh does not support version...
So ATI firmware is too old for SliTaz

add this kernel option to grub config:
video=-32
It should be after root=/dev/sda4

venchancer, TY! It worked!
