Select connection from WiFi list does a rescan instead of prompting for password

I am running Slitaz 5.0 live.

I found the place where you select wlan0

and I have the TazPanel-Network open on the screen.

I have it scan, and it shows the list of available wifi routers/networks/hotspots.

I select the one I want, and instead of launching a login asking me for a password,

it just re-scans the networks. (scanning, clears the list, shows a list).

It seems no matter what I do, it doesn't go into a login screen.

This worked out of the box, no config needed.

Running on an eeePC-1000he (Celeron).

Are you 'Root' when this happens, Timmi?

Try Preferences -> Wi-fi Configuration, select the network and then double click which should ask you for the password.

After you selected your network in TazPanel, you must see in the Connection windows that

[*]in the Network SSID field, any has been replaced with your SSID and

[*]the Security field that was empty displays the type of security used by your router (ie: WPA/WPA2 PSK).

If your network is securized the Password field appeared under the Security field; enter the password to connect to your router and click on the [Configure] button.

In the Configuration file window, check for

[*]WIFI="yes"

[*]WIFI_ESSID="your_ssid"

[*]WIFI_KEY="********"

Wi-Fi is working and ethernet is disabled.

In the upper panel, the network notification displays now a little red cross. Click on the icon and in the General tab, select wlan0 instead eth0; you can see the signal strength.
